Over the summer we’ll have club members competing at the Jukola overnight relay in Finland in June, the European Youth Champs in Belarus in June, the Junior World Champs in Denmark in July, the World Masters in July in Latvia, the O-Ringen in Sweden, the Scottish 6-Day, the French Championships and hopefully the World Championships in Norway in August.

If you’d like to try some mountain running, check out the IMRA web site here. They are great for training, for stamina and for endurance, and you might even enjoy them! And well done to our Colm Moran who was on the Rathfarnham team who finished 2nd in the Wicklow Way Relay last weekend!

The Setanta Rogaine is on June 15-16 and the Mournes Mountain Marathon is on September 21-22.

The next 3ROC events are the three Phoenix Park Tuesday evenings of 13th, 20th and 27th August, followed by a league event at Ballyedmonduff/Three Rock Mountain on September 22nd.

Thanks to all the helpers at our recent come-and-try-it event at St Catherine’s Park on 19th May. We had about 50 people for World Orienteering Day, but a good number of them were complete beginners, and some just came across the event by accident and gave it a go. See the results here.

Congratulations to Aidan McCullough and Cuan Riordan who are to represent Ireland at the European Youth Champs in Belarus and to Clodagh Moran at the Junior World Champs in Denmark this summer!

The 3ROC web page goes quiet until later in the summer – check the club Facebook page for any activities over the summer HERE.

Have a great orienteering summer!
