Sunday 1st November’s Leinster League event is at the Featherbeds, on the Military Road between Rathfarnham and Glencree, hosted by Ajax. The area includes some sections new to orienteering and the usual mix of open mountain and turf banks which can be an interesting challenge. The area is exposed and high, so dress for the weather. Start times are 11.00 to 1 pm and details are here.

Remember that the Connacht Championships are on November 15th in Co. Roscommon, run by Sligo Orienteers. Entries close on 30th October. See the Sligo OC Facebook page for information here. It’s not obvious how you enter the event, though … maybe try e-mailing Sligo OC at soc@orienteering.ie and they can e-mail you an entry form?

The next 3ROC event is Griffeen Park, Lucan, on 29th November.
