All set for our introductory orienteering event st St Catherine’s Park, Lucan on Monday next, 31st October? The long course (about 6.5 km) will appeal to existing orienteers while the shorter courses (about 3 km and 4 km) are geared more for novices. Read some more about St Catherine’s Park here.

Una and Oisín May have planned the courses and we’ll be operating from 11 am to 1 pm, with courses closing at 2 pm.

See the location here. From the bridge over the Liffey at Lucan continue up the hill (signposted for Clonee and Blanchardstown) through two roundabouts. Turn left about 300m after the second roundabout.

It’s accessible by bus to Lucan village or by train to Leixlip Confey on the Maynooth line from Connolly Station. Dublin Bus 25, the 66s, 67 go to Lucan. A Sunday schedule will operate for buses on the Bank Holiday. There are toilets and parking at the park.
