3ROC Orienteering News 12th February 2020

Stockholm indoor0_New-Storm-Dennis-IrelandPNGWeekend washout – For probably the first time ever, all the orienteering we were expecting last weekend, north, south, east and west, was abandoned because of Storm Ciara, so the events will be reinstated over the coming weeks.

This weekend’s Killiney and Callan events have been cancelled due to the weather warnings. The Callan event is being moved to March 8th. No details yet of a new date for Killiney. The Djouce Woods event on Sunday 16th February is going ahead as planned – see details here.

This weekend we have another Dublin by Night event at Killiney Hill on Saturday, then a local/come and try it event at Djouce Woods on Sunday, plus another South East Urban event at Callan, Co. Kilkenny on Sunday. Details of these events are here: Killiney Hill, Djouce and Callan. Important note – you will have to enter the Killiney night event in advance as no entries can be taken on the night.

A reminder also that the closing date for the Leinster Schools’ Championships (at Hellfire Woods on 4th March) is on Thursday 13th February. See details here.

Nothing else to report, but have a look at the 3ROC Facebook page for some interesting stuff about the Stockholm Indoor Cup and some warm-up exercises you shouldn’t do!
