Provisional results for Carlingford now posted

Thanks to all the helpers at today’s event at Carlingford. The weather was kind, the turnout was good (including a good number of LVO runners for their Club Championships) and most people seemed happy with the courses – a typical comment at the finish was “That was tough – but I’m not fit enough!”.

Some power supply failures and computer issues caused problems for the results team but they are working on them to provide full results as soon as possible.

Thierry Gueorgeiou was nine minutes clear of the field on the 11 km Brown course.

More soon.

11 pm Update: Pat Flanagan has largely managed to restore the results and provisional results are now on the IOA web site here. Full results will follow.

Monday evening update: There are still some errors in the results but we’re working on them. Thanks to those of you who have already pointed out some, and who have also pointed out that the Routegadget courses are slightly off-register. If you notice any mistakes, please let us know in case we missed them – use the “Contact Us” panel on the right. Bring back the mushy paper control cards!

We had a conflict of some kind between Java software and Ór, the orienteering event program, which caused the problem.  Once again, our aplolgies for this.

John McCullough,
